Art can reduce stress – and you don’t have to be an artist to enjoy the benefits!

Art has always been considered therapeutic, yet many people don’t consider it as an option because they feel they lack artistic ability. Being an artist myself many times when I have been painting a relative would say ‘wow, how do you know how to do that I could never do that’ it’s a common thought among  many people that in order to be an Artist – or to paint at all you must posess the skills of Picasso or Leonardo Da Vinci, right? Wrong.  Your artistic ability doesn’t matter when it comes to reaping the therapeutic benefits of creating art. Even if your best work is comprised of stick figures.
